Shibayama Niohson Temple（Shibayama-machi）
This temple, which was built in the first year of Tenou era (781), is one of the oldest temples in East Japan. It is a Tendai Buddhism temple with Mt. Hiei Enryaku-ji as the main temple. It has a strong power to protect people against hardships caused by fire, robbery, and child-rearing. It was patronized by local people for generations in Edo period.
Shibayama Niohson Temple is also home to Shibayama Haniwa Museum.

Shibayama Haniwa Museum（Shibayama-machi）
This museum is located in the area of Shibayama Niohson Temple.
In addition to the Tonozuka and Himezuka tumuli, which were designated as national historic sites, more than 150 Haniwa excavated from tumuli in this region and archeological materials are displayed here.
